Looking south across the waters of Longboat Pass and the Intracoastal Waterway, Jewfish Key can be seen on the left, Longboat Key on the right and downtown Sarasota in the far distance. Storm clouds are gathering in the eastern sky this late afternoon and there’s a good chance of rain before the evening is over which is common during the summer months here in the Sunshine State. For now, we’ll enjoy the peace and beauty of being on the water on this balmy June evening.

This is a very simple, maybe even common scene, but you have captured all of the beauty it contains! I love the minimal color palette & theme . . . but it is still packed with beautiful texture of the water, drama of the clouds and interest of the hints of humanity hidden in the trees! . . . .vf
