The South End Of A Northbound Bird by HH Photography of Florida.

This beautiful American White Pelican (Pelecanus erythrorhynchos) paddled over to see if I had something for him to eat and after realizing that I didn't, turned around and paddled off. I liked this particular view of the bird as it shows off it's beautiful black and white plumage so nicely. The American White Pelicans are a winter visitor to the Florida Suncoast and always a welcome sight when they return each autumn.
