A lone Brown Pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis) surveying its fishing domain, stands atop an old wooden tree stump as the ocean’s waves break below his feet. The Brown Pelican is a much beloved seabird, often seen throughout Florida and much of North America, particularly along all coastal environments.
