The Ruskin Family Drive-In Theater is an iconic reminder of days gone by when Mom's and Dad's would pile the kids in the family car and head to the drive-in for an evening of inexpensive entertainment. The Ruskin Drive-In opened in 1952 with the film classic, Singing In The Rain, and is one of only 8 or 10 drive-ins still operating in the state of Florida today. During the heyday of the 1950's, Florida touted approximately 150 drive-ins throughout the state but time and progress have turned most of those big screens dark. Photographed in Ruskin, Florida.
