Mine All Mine by HH Photography of Florida.
An adult male Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) sits atop a wooden piling on the bay with a Sheepshead (Archosargus probatocephalus) grasped firmly in his talons, preparing to have a late lunch. By the look of that intense stare, I think he was afraid I wanted to join him. The main diet of the beautiful Osprey consists mainly of fish. Hence, they are found throughout coastal Florida and all inland waterways where they have ready access to fishing. Photographed on the Florida Gulf coast.
