Description
Koi Under The Setting Sun by HH Photography of Florida.
The word Koi is an English translation of the Japanese word “nishikigoi” which means “brocaded carp.” There are over 100 varieties of these colorful ornamental fish which were originally used as food in China. They have since been bred for koi ponds and water gardens around the world. Koi have an incredible lifespan of 25-25 years.
This is my newest and second in a series of two, of a digital art creation with an oriental theme. Black bamboo stalks and leaves with two koi (carp) in red and black are pictured. On a pale brown, textured parchment background, an orange-red sun is setting behind the bamboo. The letter symbol is the asian symbol for peace. Also available on a white background.
