The morning sun rises slowly in the east as sunlight seeps over the valley floor and lights the top of the bare branched trees and distant mountaintops. The mist and morning fog hangs in the air on this cool, autumn day in north Georgia and western North Carolina. Photographed near Dillard, Georgia.
