Description
Touch Down - Osprey In Flight by HH Photography of Florida.
This photograph shows the male Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) in the family I’ve been observing and photographing for the past 9 years, seen landing on a dead tree branch in the afternoon sunlight. I’ve spent countless hours observing this family over the years, watched them birth and raise babies each spring, seen babies take their first flight and watched the parents teach them to fish and yes, eventually to leave the nest for the last time ... always a sad but at the same time happy day for me personally. The experience has been pure joy for me and I feel truly privileged to be a witness and loving observer of this beautiful Osprey family. Photographed on the Florida Gulf coast.
