Description
The Old Green Bridge by HH Photography of Florida.
This local historic landmark, the Green Bridge, once connected the cities of Bradenton Florida in the south to Palmetto on the north end and spanned the scenic waters of the Manatee River. The bridge was originally constructed in 1926-27 and was named after E.P. Green, a local businessman who was instrumental in getting the bridge built. In 1986, this old structure was replaced by the new Green Bridge at which time the old bridge was partially demolished on the south end. Today, the north end remains a place for folks to gather for a day of fishing, to bicycle, to walk, to watch the sun go down or to just enjoy being outdoors.

How fun that they left a part of it standing. It seems a rather large part! Lovely image, my friend! L/F/tw
