The Kiss Seen Around The World by HH Photography of Florida.
A replica of the original sculpture by Seward Johnson called Unconditional Surrender as seen and photographed on the waterfront in Sarasota, Florida. The original photograph of the iconic “Kissing Sailor” which was the basis for Johnson’s sculpture, was photographed by Victor Jorgensen in Times Square, NY, on V-J Day, August 14,1945, during the celebration of the news that WWII had ended. The more famous and similar photo was taken by Alfred Eisenstaedt and graced the cover of Life magazine a week later.
