Description
Swaying Palms by HH Photography of Florida.
Very mature Washington Palms (Washingtonia robusta) aka Mexican Fan Palms, line this residential city street, swaying back and forth in the warm summer breeze. A very hardy and long lived palm tree, Washintonia robusta palms bend rather than break in high winds and are tolerant to cold. They are, however, often struck by lightning because of their height which can reach 100 feet in older palms. Often seen throughout the Florida landscape.

Iconic Florida! Washington palms do grow tall it's amazing how flexible those slim trunks are.
HH Photography of Florida replied:
Many thanks Kandy. It always amazes me to see them bend without snapping ... but they do!
