This sailboat sits helplessly grounded as storm clouds gather in the eastern Summer sky. At this time of the year, thunderstorms are an almost daily occurrence, sometimes getting out of hand and causing severe storm warnings or brief tornado warnings. The Tampa Bay area is notorious for thunderstorms and is considered to be the "lightning capital" of North America.
