Description
School Days by HH Photography of Florida.
A look inside this circa 1908, one room schoolhouse with it’s warm wooden walls, ceiling, floor and desks. This old schoolhouse was known as a “strawberry school” because the children attended class from April through December and were on vacation January through March. Strawberries have always been a major winter crop in central Florida and the vacation months were timed to coincide with this early spring harvest ... hence the term "strawberry school." Just a small glimpse at early life in a rural Florida town.~

Wow, what a find! Can you imagine a modern-day schoolroom with all wood paneling like that, even on the ceiling! Sensory overload!
HH Photography of Florida replied:
That is a lotta wood, isn't it? Guess that was the building material of the day.
