Description
Ruddy Turnstone 2 by HH Photography of Florida.
A colorful winter visitor to the Sunshine State, this Ruddy Turnstone (Arenaria interpres) is seen standing on a rock near the shoreline of Tampa Bay. The deep blue waters of the bay swirl at it’s feet. These beautiful birds with their harlequin-like rusty, reddish brown, black and white plumage are always a welcome sight when the weather turns cold. They truly are our original winter snow birds.
