Just chillin' out on the weekend with some friends in historic Pass-A-Grille, St. Petersburg Beach, Florida. You can bet you'll see some beautiful Brown Pelicans (Pelecanus occidentalis) if you're nearby any salt water or pier here in the Sunshine State. These wonderful birds are a state and national treasure and always a delight to see them enjoying the day. Pelicans standing atop old, corroding piling, preening, relaxing and swimming in the turquoise channel water. There's even a Double-Crested Cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus) or two who've come to join their friends. Photographed in Pinellas County, Florida.
