At Rest by HH Photography of Florida.
This sleepy Brown Pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis) was snoozing peacefully in the warm sun on a cool afternoon in January when I came upon him. Ever alert, he opened an eye to check me out when I stopped to photograph him, probably hoping I’d soon be on my way. I always love seeing and photographing these beautiful, interesting and unique creatures of the bird community.
