An American White Pelican by HH Photography of Florida.
An American White Pelican (Pelecanus erythrorhynchos) with it’s pretty orange beak is seen resting on the cool blue waters of the bay. When the beak displays a horn (caruncle) at the end of it’s beak as this one does, it indicates that it’s in breeding mode. Winter visitors to Florida, it’s always a treat to see and photograph them. An artistic effect has been applied with a subtle white vignetting.
