Description
The Old Oak Tree by HH Photography of Florida.
A very old, very stately and mighty old oak tree, stands tall in the late afternoon sun at Myakka River State Park. Spanish Moss drapes it's limbs and branches, adorning the oak like tinsel on a December Christmas tree. Such a peaceful and quiet time of the day here in the park as the waning sunlight signals the end of another beautiful visit. Photographed in Sarasota, FL.

Fabulous old mature tree Helen. Love the beautiful light highlighting the Spanish moss hanging from the branches.

My mother talks about the wonder of Spanish Moss, but I've never seen it myself. Beautiful the way that the afternoon light turns it golden!
HH Photography of Florida replied:
Thanks Lee. I'm with your Mom on this one. lol. I think it's a "southern" thing.

Thank you, Kathy. Love the Spanish moss ... so reminiscent of the deep South ... so beautiful.
