The Bejeweled Peacock by HH Photography of Florida.
An Indian Peacock (Pavo cristatus) close-up portrait of one of the most beautiful, colorful birds in the birding world. The jewel tones and iridescent turquoise, emerald green, yellow and indigo blue make the Peacock an exquisite sight to behold. The way they hold themselves when strutting through the yard with such an air of superiority must have been where the term "proud as a Peacock" came from. Photographed on the Florida Gulf coast.
