Description
A Little Blue Heron (Egretta caerulea) stalks the shallow waters of Myakka River State Park, Florida, and passes in front of an American Alligator (Mississippiensis alligator) seen sunning itself on the river bank. I wonder what the gator was thinking, or for that matter, what the heron was thinking as they encountered each other at the water's edge.
