Color Me Beautiful by HH Photography of Florida.
This beautiful Hooded Merganser male was with a small flock I encountered late one autumn afternoon. The Merganser’s are not year-round residents in Florida and I had never seen the male of this species before so I was more than thrilled to come across the flock. The coloration and markings are such an exquisite work of art. Photographed on the Florida Gulf coast.
